View TrueColour.md

Most updated version is always available at termstandard/colors repository.

Terminal Colors

There exists common confusion about terminal colors. This is what we have right now:

  • Plain ASCII
  • ANSI escape codes: 16 color codes with bold/italic and background
  • 256 color palette: 216 colors + 16 ANSI + 24 gray (colors are 24-bit)
  • 24-bit true color: "888" colors (aka 16 milion)

Setup Gitea on Raspberry Pi (3)

These instructions are based on this article: https://www.alexruf.net/2016/05/23/setup-gogs-git-service.html.

Setup Raspberry Pi with minimal Raspbian image. You need to connect to the HDMI port and set the following:

sudo raspi-config

There you need to enable the SSH server and you should change the hostname.

Generalities first

Suppose you have weird taste and you absolutely want:

  • your visual selection to always have a green background and black foreground,
  • your active statusline to always have a white background and red foreground,
  • your very own deep blue background.

Learn Lua quickly with this short yet comprehensive and friendly script. It's written as both an introduction and a quick reference. It's also a valid Lua script so you can verify that the code does what it says, and learn more by modifying and running this script in your Lua interpreter.

Vim Script for Python Developers

A guide to Vim Script development for Python developers. Sample code for the various expressions, statements, functions and programming constructs is shown in both Python and Vim Script. This is not intended to be a tutorial for developing Vim scripts. It is assumed that the reader is familiar with Python programming.

For an introduction to Vim Script development, refer to usr_41.txt, eval.txt and Learn Vimscript the Hard Way

For a guide similar to this one for JavaScript developers, refer to Vim Script for the JavaScripter

This guide only describes the programming constructs that are present in both Python and Vim. The constructs that are unique to Vim (e.g. autocommands, key-mapping,
