This fixes a bug with hostage tasks in DrX where you crash if the task giver dies. Other DrX tasks have this check already.

There is a separate Ghost Mode Mod List. Ghost Mode is superb and highly recommended if you have never played with it. It cleans up and overhauls every aspect of the game while still remaining true to vanilla. Makes it a great choice even for a first run of the game.
A list of mods I use with Call of Misery. Some of these are from Call of Chernobyl.
Hybrid crit/status melee weapons can build around both Blood Rush (BR) & Condition Overload (CO) to inflict a large number of status effects on the enemy to get a big boost in damage from CO while keeping the melee combo counter high enough that BR can give a large number of crits.
A typical hybrid build would look like: Blood Rush (for crits from combo counter), Condition Overload (for damage from status effects), Drifting Contact (for ease in building the combo counter and better status), Pressure Point (more damage), 2x 60% / 60% elemental damage/status mods (for more status and damage), and the last two slots can be tailored to fit your tastes or cover the weapon's flaws. Good mods for the last two slots include Healing Return (healing from status effects, a very good fit here), Berseker (more speed fron the BR crits, very good for applying status quickly), Reach (more range for applying status and damage to more enemies), more elem
A game of stellaris has several acts. Most games (unless you're playing a genocidal empire of some sort) follow this kind of pattern. Some acts may overlap a bit or last longer/shorter than usual. Act 3 may repeat itself if you have a galaxy full of 'nice guy' empires.

This list of mods is built around the excellent Ghost Mode overhaul mod. All of these mods are compatible with it.
If I had to pick just 3 mods to use, they would be Ghost Mode, Friendly HUD, and Enhanced Targeting. All three enhance the game significantly while leaving the vanilla feel in place.
Most of the other mods are for convenience or improvements in the user experience. Auto Apply Oils is the one mod in the list that does away with a core game mechanic. It even renders the 3rd-level alchemy skill Fixative useless, so decide for yourself if makes the game too easy before using it.
There are no texture/lighting/weather mods in this list since I personally find the base game has very good art direction and has a consistent look
