Download and install Cheat Engine (https://www.cheatengine.org/)
-
Run Taiko: the Drum Master and wait for it to boot up. (You might want to go into Settings and change it to Windowed mode to make switching between windows easier.)
-
Run Cheat Engine, and exit out of any tutorials or anything else that might pop up. You should see a screen similar to below:
-
Click on the flashing green-and-red button in the top-left corner ("Select a process to open")
-
Select "Taiko no Tasujin" and click Open.
-
In the "Value:" field, type in the current coin amount you have. In my case, it's "53079". Then, click "First Scan".
You should see a list of addresses in Cheat Engine that match the value:
Note: If you do not see any addresses, you may need to temporarily turn off any additional programs that interact with the Taiko: the Drum Master game (e.g. controller emulators).
-
Next, buy something in the store (e.g. an outfit). My coins went from 53079 to 52279.
-
You should now see some changes in the address values in Cheat Engine:
There is now only 1 address that matches the current coin count. That is the correct address to change!!
-
Right click on the value and select "Change value of selected addresses". Enter in 999999 and click OK.
-
Exit the shop and re-enter. You should see the new value in-game.
