To make PolyMC safe, do the following:

  1. Before opening PolyMC, disable automatic updates by editing the polymc.cfg file next to the PolyMc executable (%appdata%\polymc\polymc.cfg on Windows); find the line which says AutoUpdate=true and change it to AutoUpdate=false.
  2. Change to the metadata server URL to https://meta.prismlauncher.org/v1/: image
  3. Change the Microsoft API key to c36a9fb6-4f2a-41ff-90bd-ae7cc92031eb: image
