Restore git submodules from .gitmodules. Since git submodule init only considers submodules that already are in the index (i.e. "staged") for initialization this short script parses .gitmodules, and each url and path pair.
#!/bin/sh
set -e
git config -f .gitmodules --get-regexp '^submodule\..*\.path$' |
while read path_key path
do
url_key=$(echo $path_key | sed 's/\.path/.url/')
url=$(git config -f .gitmodules --get "$url_key")
git submodule add $url $path

BBEdit / BBEdit-Lite / TextWrangler Regular Expression Guide Modified: 2018/08/10 01:19

NOTES:
The PCRE engine (Perl Compatible Regular Expressions) is what BBEdit and TextWrangler use.
Items I'm unsure of are marked '# PCRE?'. The list while fairly comprehensive is not complete.

Installing latest Docker on a Raspberry Pi 3

Introduction

I wrote this gist to record the steps I followed to get docker running in my Raspberry Pi 3. The ARM ported debian version (Jessie) comes with an old version of docker. It is so old that the docker hub it tries to interact with doesn't work anymore :)

Hopefully this gist will help someone else to get docker running in their Raspberry Pi 3.

Installation

From original instructions at http://blog.hypriot.com/post/run-docker-rpi3-with-wifi/

Installing Gitea on Raspberry Pi with nginx, SSL and automatic backups

Setup Gitea on Raspberry Pi (3)

These instructions are based on this article: https://www.alexruf.net/2016/05/23/setup-gogs-git-service.html.

Setup Raspberry Pi with minimal Raspbian image. You need to connect to the HDMI port and set the following:

sudo raspi-config

There you need to enable the SSH server and you should change the hostname.
