The issue:

..mobile browsers will wait approximately 300ms from the time that you tap the button to fire the click event. The reason for this is that the browser is waiting to see if you are actually performing a double tap.

(from a new defunct https://developers.google.com/mobile/articles/fast_buttons article)

touch-action CSS property can be used to disable this behaviour.

touch-action: manipulation The user agent may consider touches that begin on the element only for the purposes of scrolling and continuous zooming. Any additional behaviors supported by auto are out of scope for this specification.

How to run nightmare on Amazon Linux

Running nightmare on Amazon Linux

You may have thought of running nightmare on AWS Lambda. But before we can run it on Lambda, we need first to make it run on Amazon Linux.

Provision instance which replicates Lambda environment

According to AWS Documentation on Lambda Execution Environment and available Libraries we would need this AMI image with this alias amzn-ami-hvm-2016.03.3.x86_64-gp2. Keep in mind that AMI-image-id for this instance would be different in different regions (eg):

  • In eu-west-1 - ami-f9dd458a
  • In us-east-1 - ami-6869aa05

Functional reactive programming (FRP) is very popular nowadays. The JavaScript community provides us with excellent tools like RxJS, Bacon, and Kefir. But, as we know, they have nothing to do with React. So how we can use the power of FRP in our React application? Using the correct state management, we can make friends with FRP and React and make our application truly reactive. In my lightning talk, I will talk about Focal

Github Actions Ranking (June 18, 2020)

Github Actions is a CI/CD platform that gained a lot of popularity recently. I participated in building ⭐️ Lighthouse CI Action and was curious how well it performs.

But Github Marketplace UI shows no ranking information. Essentially, It's a search with random results; at least, I don't understand the order. I couldn't find ⭐️ Lighthouse CI Action in Continuous integration category after browsing 50 available pages (Each page shows 20 results, so it's possible to see only 1000 results, but CI category has 1469 😐).

I decided to build a custom script that crawls all categories and use Github Search (example query) to estimate usa
