CosmJS + Stargate – A guided tour

Support for Cosmos SDK Stargate in CosmJS has been ongoing work for several months now. Stargate is released and CosmJS is here to connect to it.

Ubuntu VM on macOS with QEMU

Ubuntu VM on macOS with QEMU

For work I have an Intel Core i5 MacBook. With the Docker Desktop license changes I looked into minikube and Multipass but both failed when I got on our VPN with Cisco AnyConnect due to bridged networking in hyperkit (see links at bottom).

I realized I would be happy SSHing into a local Linux VM but passed on VirtualBox to avoid depending on legacy system extensions. I landed on libvirt for the VM, then realized I could remove libvirt from the equation to finally end up at this quick, simple setup for an Ubuntu VM on macOS with QEMU.

First, install QEMU (see https://wiki.qemu.org/Hosts/Mac for other o

Eslint airbnb config + prettier for create-react-app project

This is tutorial of onfiguring eslint, prettier for your project

Make your code great again

  1. Eslint

First of all we need to install eslint and configs as dev dependencies. You can use your own config, but I will use config from airbnb:

yarn add -D eslint eslint-config-airbnb eslint-plugin-import eslint-plugin-jsx-a11y eslint-plugin-react

PycURL error: ConfigurationError: Curl is configured to use SSL, but we have not been able to determine which SSL backend it is using. Please see PycURL documentation for how to specify the SSL backend manually.

Partly pulled from the comments here: pycurl/pycurl#526

May also be a fix for this error:

ImportError: pycurl: libcurl link-time ssl backend (none/other) is different from compile-time ssl backend (openssl)

If you try to install PycURL and receive this error:

Firebase Hosting Deploy Single File

This script may no longer work. Have a look at its (more official) replacement: https://github.com/firebase/firebase-tools/tree/master/scripts/examples/hosting/update-single-file

Firebase Hosting Deploy Single File

This utility script deploy a single local file to an existing Firebase Hosting site. Other files that are already deployed are left unmodified.

The difference with firebase deploy is that this script does not require you to have a local snapshot of all hosted files, you just need the one file that you want to add/update.

Preventing Puppeteer Detection

I’m looking for any tips or tricks for making chrome headless mode less detectable. Here is what I’ve done so far:

Set my args as follows:

const run = (async () => {

    const args = [

        '--disable-setuid-sandbox',
        '--disable-infobars',
