Customizing the overall App Style

This guide has been updated for Titanium SDK 3.3.0 which uses AppCompat to bring the ActionBar to Android 2.3.x

Android has a build-in theming system. Using this feature you can easily change the base color Android uses for its controls across your app, allowing you to provide better branding and personalization, while maintaining Android's UI and UX.

Android built-in themes are:

  • Holo (Mostly Black and Cyan)
  • Holo Light (Mostly White and Gray)

Simple PHP script showing how to send an Android push notification. Be sure to replace the API_ACCESS_KEY with a proper one from the Google API's Console page. To use the script, just call scriptName.php?id=THE_DEVICE_REGISTRATION_ID

Dynamic dropdown in Laravel, let's say you have multiple drop downs (selects), you click on one and the contents of the other need to be dynamically changed. One solution is to dynamically load JSON from the API and change the dropdown dynamically depending on the user choice.

Converting .cer to .pem via pure PHP, (no system, backticks, shell_exec, exec, etc.) to get the same result as with "openssl x509 -inform der -in cert.cer -out cert.pem". Note, I am not expert on certificates, etc. This specific certificate conversion simply worked for me.
