PSR-0 Final Proposal (PHP Standards Working Group)

The following describes the mandatory requirements that must be adhered to for autoloader interoperability.

Mandatory:

  • A fully-qualified namespace and class must have the following structure \ <Vendor Name> \ (<Namespace>)* \ <Class Name>
  • Each namespace must have a top-level namespace ("Vendor Name").
  • Each namespace can have as many sub-namespaces as it wishes.
  • Each namespace separator is converted to a DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR when loading from the file system.
  • Each "_" character in the CLASS NAME is converted to a DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR. The "_" character has no special meaning in the namespace.

Laravel challenge / poll for book.

Challenge: you need a flexible (swap in other repository implementations) way to display some kind of resource. Let's say, Posts. What does your folder structure look like?

Requirements:

  • Repository implements an interface
  • Must show at least one implementation of the interface (Eloquent version is fine)
  • The interface is injected into your PostsController.
  • Show where you register your IoC bindings
  • Show folder structure. Where are interfaces/repositories stored?

Mac OS X LEMP Configuration

This Gist is a collection of configuration files that can be used to easily setup a Homebrew-based LEMP stack on Mac OS X.

Files in this repository are numbered and named for ordering purposes only. At the top of each file is a section of metadata that denote what component the file belongs to and the default name & location of the file. Feel free to implement it however you want.

Note: some configuration files have hard-coded paths to my user directory -- fix it for your setup

Frequently Used PhpStorm Keyboard Shortcuts

Note: Some of these shortcuts have been remapped for my own convenience (Preferences->Keymap). These are Mac shortcuts, just use the Windows/Linux equivalent of the Cmd/Option/Ctrl/Del keys.

Cmd + P - Search file

Cmd + Shift + O - Search everywhere

(I swapped the above two recently because I use Cmd + P to search for files most of the time).
