Setting up magit forge for gitlab in Doom Emacs

Magit forge for Gitlab in Doom Emacs

This guide assumes you're working on a Unix-like environment. I'm using Linux Mint (Ubuntu). It should work on Macs, and might on Windows.

These are the four steps you can use as a checklist, see the headings below for the details on each step.

  • Enable forge support
  • Create a Gitlab API key
  • Add your gitlab credentials to ~/.authinfo.gpg
  • Set-up forge in emacs

Cog Multi Pod deployment with external Postgres

Deploying Cog on Kubernetes (on AWS)

Note: Use the excellent helm chart - ohaiwalt/cog-helm to get up quickly on k8s

Follow the guide below to understand the inner workings a bit better.

We will be creating 1 deployment for the cog server and 1 deployment for the relay server.

We chose to run Postgres outside the Kubernetes cluster and provide instructions how to expose all service ports on a single ELB.

Powerline-patched Monaco for Windows and OSX

Powerline-patched Monaco for Windows and OSX

This font is manually patched with Fontforge. It includes the glyphs from DejaVu Sans Mono for Powerline.

I recommend DirectWrite-patched VIM builds. I'm using KaoriYa's build (http://www.kaoriya.net/software/vim/)

Usage

Add the following lines to your .vimrc/_vimrc:
