Tested on Ubuntu 18.04 Docker container. The Dockerfile is a single line FROM ubuntu:18.04. Alternatively, you can simply run docker run -it ubuntu:18.04 bash.
NOTE: stopping services didn't work for me for some reason. That's why there is kill $(pidof <service name>) after each failed service <service name> stop to kill it.

Using a Raspberry Pi 3 as a Wifi access point and bridge
The specificity of my setup, is that the Raspberry won’t be a router but a bridge. DHCP is thus delegated to the main ADSL router and all devices connected to the AP will appear on the same network than other devices.
The instructions below are based on a fresh Raspbian lite install so that it can be reproduced easily.
Install the required packages :
$ sudo apt-get install -y bridge-utils hostapd
To create a bridge, we need to enable ip_forward in the kernel, for that, edit /etc/sysctl.conf and remove comment (#) from the following line :
Some wireless cards support monitor mode but won't work with airmon-ng. This is a little script helps you turning the monitor mode on! (+ it also sets the channel and the tx-power)
Examples: ./startWlan.sh - enables monitor mode on wlan0, sets channel to 1 and tx-power to 30dBm. ./startWlan.sh wlan1 11 33 - enables monitor mode on wlan1, sets channel to 11 and tx-power to 33dBm. ./startWlan.sh wlan0 6 - enables monitor mode on wlan0, sets channel to 6 and tx-power to 30dBm.
