This simple force-directed graph shows character co-occurence in Les Misérables. A physical simulation of charged particles and springs places related characters in closer proximity, while unrelated characters are farther apart. Layout algorithm inspired by Tim Dwyer and Thomas Jakobsen. Data based on character coappearence in Victor Hugo's Les Misérables, compiled by Donald Knuth.

Hello
I'm making use of its graph model. However, I must now define specific distances for each node (not just weight stroke-line).
The "linkDistance" make for all lines.
how can I modify it so that the distance is always the base value of the stroke line?
I tried to modify the code, but it is obscured, making it difficult to understand.
Thank you.
