What forces layout / reflow

All of the below properties or methods, when requested/called in JavaScript, will trigger the browser to synchronously calculate the style and layout*. This is also called reflow or layout thrashing, and is common performance bottleneck.

Generally, all APIs that synchronously provide layout metrics will trigger forced reflow / layout. Read on for additional cases and details.

  1. sudo apt-get update
  2. sudo apt-get install -y libssl1.0.0 openssl
  3. openssl version -a and confirm the "built on" date is >= 2014-04-07
  4. sudo lsof -n | grep ssl | grep DEL and restart all listed services.

Repeat #4 until no results are returned.
