Preparation

• Arm yourself with information.
  • Kelly blue book value. Helps inform what a reasonable price will be.
  • Black book value. Helps define the dealer’s bottom price, what they would acquire the car for in a trade-in.
• Common car problems and their cost.

a simple git branching model (written in 2013)

This is a very simple git workflow. It (and variants) is in use by many people. I settled on it after using it very effectively at Athena. GitHub does something similar; Zach Holman mentioned it in this talk.

These examples are type 3 RESTful API requests and responses. The JSON-HAL specification is used to implement HATEOAS.
