@Sonia1-fan no such thing for ITV channels via UHD, Its only BBC, Sky Sports and BT Sport that doing UHD in UK.

The UHD streams look incredible, maybe the sharpest 4K I've seen.
However, when trying to record with VLC, it will not record video, just audio. I records H.265 video just fine from an .mkv file, but for some reason it will not record the video from the BBC UHD streams. Does anyone know why that is and how I can fix it?

If your running Linux, I would use ffmpeg, use -v to see if your have x265 compiled, if not compile first or errors.

Can I ask, how did you obtain this url. This is the only one that works for me. The others that end in mpd and the raw m3u8 dont. I notice this is vs-hls-push not ve-uhd like the others.

Eurovision, probably not in UHD but I'm curious as to whether there's anything better the geoblocked 1080p25 YT stream and the 720p50 BBC One HLS feed.

It seems the first semifinal exists in 1080p50 on iPlayer after broadcast through get-iplayer.

I didn't check if the BBC UHD HLS streams were active the other night; I'm pretty sure it's still only going out in 1080p on EBU's backhaul satellites.

Is there anyway to kick the iPlayer feed into FHD? I've noticed the "pv=xx" and "b=xxxxxxxx" parts of the URL decide what resolution things stream at.

Yeah works in VLC for me too but ffmpeg just errors. Any ideas as to why? The old streams used to work. And the uhd ones work using ffmpeg to store to file.

But does anybody know why these pips urls don’t work with ffmpeg or ytdlp? Get error 404 not found. Failed to open fragment of playlist 0. Over and over again. Yet the old m3u8 url used to work fine. And these urls play fine in VLC

Seems the BBC has glastonbury highlight streams going 24/7 atm when it first started a few days ago I noticed it was using sport_stream_24 but they don't appear to be using the sport_stream now instead it seems to be a stream called "dazzler_stream_01" is this new or something?

Is these BBC streams UK only? It won't play in chrome so I tracked the m3u8 for individual resolution and it gives Access Denied error.

Is it still possible to access recent previous broadcast segments for the BBC UHD streams? Just tried and get 404 error like with regular streams which were cleared when broadcast finished.

I just happened upon it by chance, and it was working up until the recent URL change.
It might have been one of those services that got the axe as part of BBCs latest restructuring.

Could be down to two reasons

1. BBC said they are shutting down SD (standard definition) channels, They already have on Satellite.

2. maybe if your outside of the UK or Northern Ireland or using a VPN even if is UK or Ireland then that could be the issue - Far as i know, Only UK/NI Residential/Business IPs will be allowed to steam from BBC URL, Any UK IP VPS/VPNs and Dedicated Server is a no no unless BBC approves the hosting company what i dout will happen.

3. if you google "layingsat BBC" you will see other country that have the BBC channels.

Came across this thread while browsing. Don't know if you are aware but the BBC are shutting down use of all HLS and DASH streams for radio unless they are authorised by agreement with manufacturers.

Can someone provide an updated list of these BBC streams? They are all dead now. I have got some to work by looking through the comments up the page but I can't get many of the others to work such as the regional BBC One streams.

Thanks but the bitrate is a bit high for me and video is choppy on lower end device. I sorted this by replacingv=pv14/b=5070016 with v=pv10/b=1604032 in the url for the lower resolution streams.

No because 5 is active all the time 1-4 are occasional only. Hope that helps

Unlike ITV, even broadcast BBC in 1080i is not high quality, and also often doesn't have high bitrate.

The bitrate does shoot up if the content is grainy, or high-motion high-detail in nature (a football game for example). But often enough, you will find the average bitrate of broadcast BBC in 1080i to be even lower than the 720p50 web streams.

So, official or not, there is currently no high-quality source a stream can use for BBC channels, except when some specific content is on, as mentioned above.

Not sure where you're getting pixelation from. Clear 720p here. There is NO official streams with 1080p.

You can try the media availability tool which will return all the available streams. As mentioned over and over again, the legitimate live streams are generally only 720p or UHD (if available), but querying the media selector will allow you to see if the stream quality you are after is available or not.

MyPage doesn't work with the Echo Show 5 3rd Gen. All I get is a blank screen for a few seconds before it goes back. It also can't be configured on the Echo Show 5 3rd Gen as it just asks for a code. Does anyone know any workaround to open custom URLs in the Silk browser using voice on the 3rd generation Echo Show 5?

I use gen 1's and 2's, don't see why a gen 3 should break it. You've installed on Echo and can see it listed in the app? "alexa, open mypage and open list" should open the list on the echo for you to populate? But's it's easier to use the PC - go to https://xdream2000.com/alexa/my_page/ on your PC. Scroll down the mypage on your echo and you will see the code your PC requires. Populate one of the entries, save and try it. If that doesn't work, email the author, Andy, andy_s@gmx.at.

Hi has anyone got a working link for ITV1 or STV ? The ones in here are broken. My blind father’s tv in his bedroom is broken and I can’t it fixed till tomorrow and he’s been looking forward to listening to the Oscars tonight in bed. Thank you all

quite nice used this way in a terminal

other route is to create an m3u list and drag into say VLC

Does the media selector not work for episodes using sport stream anymore? Just tried the snooker which I know is using sport stream 03 however it just returns error ( result":"selectionunavailable"} )
