It’s likely because one of the following reasons:

  • We do not have the Fallout 4 test build
  • Some test features were likely pruned to make the release candidate (RC) retail build smaller and to keep certain QA tools proprietary
  • Many commands that don’t work the way we would imagine them to may function 100% of the time when used correctly, but they may be missing adequate help documentation that would inform users of the correct syntax, use case, etc.

Yes, and some of the more invasive test tools will even slow down the game, or increase frequency of certain bugs (such as heap overflows.)

This is not to mention that many such tools are not designed to reduce memory leaks.

I just came back here, and I forgot to mention in my old reply that the engine is shared between Skyrim and Fallout 4.

Some of those commands are only used in Skyrim. In these cases, instead of editing the engine binary (which could introduce bugs), they just stub out the script interface for the command where it would go in the script files.

Similarly, many debug commands are only found in the console layer on non-debug builds, because the execution stack layer has them removed for optimization. Removing them from the console stack would only introduce bugs, when the game binary can simply be programmed to not respond to them. Many of these pull variables that simply don't exist in non-debug builds.

I suspect it is only listing commands that act on certain parts of the engine.

Unfortunately, there is no easy way to get the list of other commands that I know of.

One might be able to fetch them using a mod or by rooting around for string tags in the exes and game data packages followed by brute force. The other option might be to pull them with a custom mod made for the purpose.

I know dumping all the values attached to character objects would be best done with a mod. I don't know if you could do so with the global functions and variables.
