All of the below properties or methods, when requested/called in JavaScript, will trigger the browser to synchronously calculate the style and layout*. This is also called reflow or layout thrashing, and is common performance bottleneck.
Generally, all APIs that synchronously provide layout metrics will trigger forced reflow / layout. Read on for additional cases and details.

Not all random values are created equal - for security-related code, you need a specific kind of random value.

. There are extremely few cases where Math.random()
is the right answer. Don't use it, unless you've read this entire article, and determined that it's necessary for your case.crypto.getRandomBytes
