Prettier-eslint on Spacemacs

Setting up automatic Eslint formatting on Spacemacs

Note: This assumes that your project already has a working eslint setup!

Step 1: add prettier-eslint_d

prettier-eslint_d is a "daemon" versions of prettier and eslint. They are faster frontends to prettier and eslint, great for editors. Add it to your project via Yarn:

# prettier-eslint_d are replacements for these packages; if you have them,

What I Wish I'd Known About Equity Before Joining A Unicorn

Disclaimer: This piece is written anonymously. The names of a few particular companies are mentioned, but as common examples only.

This is a short write-up on things that I wish I'd known and considered before joining a private company (aka startup, aka unicorn in some cases). I'm not trying to make the case that you should never join a private company, but the power imbalance between founder and employee is extreme, and that potential candidates would

I simply copied and pasted it from another location and saved it as a personal note, before it gained popularity on news.ycombinator.com. spacemacs - global search and replace

There's a couple of ways, one way is

  • Get search results
    • Do SPC / and type in your search string
    • or SPC x S and search string - where x is your scope indicator (p for project, d for directory, etc..)
  • Once you have the occurences you want, hit C-c C-e inside the helm buffer to put all your match occurences and puts them into a special buffer called the edit buffer or something like that
  • in that buffer you can use any commands you'd normally use on a buffer
  • the C-c C-c to commit your changes.

True color (24-bit) terminal support for tmux-1.9a and tmux-2.0
This diff is a modified version of a diff written by Arnis Lapsa.
[ The original can be found here: https://gist.github.com/ArnisL/6156593 ]
This diff adds support to tmux for 24-bit color CSI SRG sequences. This
allows terminal based programs that take advantage of it (e.g., vim or
emacs with https://gist.github.com/choppsv1/73d51cedd3e8ec72e1c1 patch)
to display 16 million colors while running in tmux.
The primary change I made was to support ":" as a delimeter as well
