i store them like this per language:

where the first one is the name of the language in the native language so in swedish it = "Svenska", not "Swedish"

thanks napasa! i'm going to give this a shot. i see the alphabets share some characters. my process will be to build a big image containing at least all the glyphs i need for these strings - and hopefully the whole unicode blocks that they live in, then to render those and see if it looks okay or if there are spacing issues or problems with missing glyphs in the font i'm extracting from. all my button texts are centred so i don't need to worry about right-to-left alignment

I think it may lost semantics if I directly translate English to Chinese by literal. SO replace "主机游戏" with "创建游戏" may be better when do a translation according to semantic, Is "host game" button used to create and begin a game ?
