Some things have changed since I originally wrote this in 2016. I have updated a few minor details, and the advice is still broadly the same, but there are some new Cloudflare features you can (and should) take advantage of. In particular, pay attention to Trevor Stevens' comment here from 22 January 2022, and Matt Stenson's useful caching advice. In addition, Backblaze, with whom Cloudflare are a Bandwidth Alliance partner, have published their own guide detailing how to use Cloudflare's Web Workers to cache content from B2 private buckets. I spent a lot of time trying to find a pretty optimal (for me) setup for Clojure… at the same time I was trying to dive in and learn it. This is never optimal; you shouldn't be fighting the environment while trying to learn something.

Install XQuartz (http://xquartz.macosforge.org) which is the development version of the X11.app that ships with OS X, which means it is way more up to date. I have had some weird issues with X11.app v. 2.3-something. XQuartz 2.5.0 fixed that.
Install dwm from Homebrew, brew install dwm. This makes a bunch of necessary tweaks to the DWM configuration.
Add the following script to $PATH, name it dwm-launch and chmod 755:
